Timing
** Dr. Orman's Optimal Health eNewsletter ***
You have heard the phrase "timing is everything."
Such is certainly the case with health care, natural medicine in
particular. Each organ has a 2 hour block of time associated with
it. During this time period, the organ is at its peak
functioning. At it opposite end is when it is the weakest. For
example, the stomach is at its strongest at 7am - 9am (which is
why breakfast is so highly recommended) and weakest during the
7pm - 9pm period. The time frames for all organs are: Stomach -
7am-9am Spleen - 9am-11am Heart - 11am-1pm Small Intestine -
1pm-3pm Bladder - 3pm-5pm Kidneys - 5pm-7pm Pericardium - 7pm-9pm
Triple Burner** - 9pm-11pm Gall Bladder - 11pm-1am Liver -1am-3am
Lungs - 3am-5am Large Intestine - 5am-1am ** Triple Burner is a
term to describe the functioning of all sections of the body
How is this information useful? If you are having a problem that
is difficult to identify, noting the time period can assist you in
finding the root cause of the problem. "Every day around dinner.
. .5pm or so, my lower back really starts to bother me." One
would then look at the kidneys as a potential cause or a
contributor. If the cause or root of the problem is known, you
can use timing to your advantage in this fashion. For example,
let's say that a person is prone to respiratory ailments such as
colds, coughs and acute cases of the flu. Knowing that the lungs
are at their weakest at 3pm-5pm, taking lung nutrition at this
time or foods that strengthen the lungs such as asparagus would
be ideal. This latter principle applies to our product, Hgh
Plus™. The pituitary releases hGH during night time. As such, you
want to strengthen this gland during the day so that at night, it
is able to release optimal amounts.

QUICK TIP: Another weight loss tip. Be sure that you have
adequate calcium in your diet and/or supplement regimen. Two
major studies were published recently stating that
supplementation with calcium assisted with fat loss. Ideal
sources are chelated forms of calcium are citrate or orotate.
Avoid carbonate form.

In terms of other substances and timing, consider the following:
- Take minerals in the evening or at bed time. They are more
readily absorbed and will also help improve sleep - Take tonics
such as B vitamins, potassium, Ginseng and Royal Jelly in the
morning. They will help provide energy throughout the day. - Take
the mineral zinc by itself. It does not interact well with other
substances. - Taking enzymes after a meal will help with
digestion. Taking before a meal will increase appetite. -
Substances such as Spanish Black Radish or Activated Charcoal
should be taken alone. They absorb other substances and render
them inactive. - Coffee will render most homeopathic substances
inactive. Do not mix. Mint will do the same. That's all for this
issue! Remember to forward this to others who can benefit from
the content.
Until next week.
