Sport – in my case martial arts – can bring about many things. Most of them involve happiness, passion and joy. Occasionally, it brings along some unwanted aspects as well – in my case, a couple of very sore shoulders.
Happy to say that a number of things helped – chiropractic adjustments, Wobenzym N and Hgh Plus (see prior article about the use of these 2). This combination was a huge help, alleviating about 80% of the problem. I have added one more into the mix, based on a recommendation from a friend (Huge thanks to Jeff Jones). It is called Kwan Loong Oil.
One application and I noticed a significant different. Virtually of the crepitus (the “pops and crackling” sounds) are gone. Most of the lagging discomfort is gone and there is nearly 100% mobility now in both shoulders.
What is Kwan Loong Oil?
Kwan Loong Oil is an excellent medicated oil for temporary relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with simple backaches, arthritis, bruises, sprains and strains. Kwan Loong Oil provides penetrating pain relief. In Oriental Medicine it is used for expelling Wind-Dampness from Channels & Muscles, Invigorates Qi and Blood, Alleviates Pain and Relaxes the Muscles.
Translation. . . .
It is used for inflammation, bruising and acute pain in the muscles. Think traumas or overuse type problems.
The ingredient list is complex for the most part. The herbs contained within are written in Chinese. Most of them are from the category of “blood movers.” As the name implies, it assists the body in moving the blood and energy from a given area. This is very important as the point(s) of stagnation is (are) where the pain occurs; that is, you must move the blood and move the energy in order to alleviate the pain and inflammation. That is what these herbs are designed to do.
There is a heavy Eucalyptus and Menthol scent to this product. After application, there is also a progressive cooling/tingling sensation on the surface of the skin which gets your attention. It is not uncomfortable by any means, but rather odd.
Kwan Loong Oil is less than $10 and can be found at most Asian Herb Stores. Health Stores typically do not carry this specialty product.
Overall, I think it is a quality product and one that fits in perfectly with an internal, personalized protocol for inflammation.
