Deadly Skin Cancer Linked to This

skin-1200933_640The 10 year survival rate for untreated melanoma – a deadly form of skin cancer – is unfortunately, zero. Incidences of melanoma have increased at a disturbing rate, particularly among women under the age of 50.

Recent study from the University of Minnesota found a direct correlation between the use of tanning beds and the instances of melanoma. Oddly enough, this was only the case with women, not with men.

Researchers compared 681 patients with melanoma versus nearly the same number without. Conclusion?

Tanning bed use increased the risk of melanoma by as much as 900%. Bottom line – avoid this and go outside and enjoy Nature’s “tanning bed” so to speak.
