4 (Healthy) Foods Which Can Harm Your Teeth

Teeth are considered an “outgrowth” of the kidney energy. Keep the kidneys strong and the teeth will be strong also.

Additionally, certain food – even though they are considered healthy – can damage teeth if you do not take care to brush frequently and floss.

They are as follows:

  • Dried Fruit: ¬†Examples include mangos, raisins, and prunes. The issue is that these fruits are high in sugar and non-soluble fiber. The latter can trap sugar around the teeth and cause problems in the long run.
  • Banana Chips: A personal favorite and better option compared to potato chips, they can be problematic to teeth. They are sticky and have a tendency to stick between the teeth.
  • Popcorn: Same issue here with the added risk of unpopped kernels cracking teeth, a common occurrence.
  • Citrus Fruits: Oranges, lemons, and grapefruit are great sources of vitamin C which elevates\ the immunity system, they are also high in enamel-damaging acid. Be careful of volume and you should be fine.
