In Natural Medine, eating late at night is an unhealthy habit. Aside from the issues of insomnia and contributing to weight gain, late night eating or snacking will weaken the spleen and lower the immune system.
Now, researchers from the University of PA concur. They noted that people who eat 500 or so calories after 8pm find that their alertness and concentration are compromised the next day.
This, in turn, can cause problems at work, driving and other areas of life.
After dinner between 5pm and 7pm at the latest is a healthy habit to acquire.
