A public health service group called Environmental Working Group said that farm raised salmon fillets sampled in 3 major cities contains unsafe levels of chemicals call PCBs which make their consumption dangerous, particularly for pregnant women.
The PCB levels are well above acceptable ones as stated by the EPA.
Healthy fish choices high in omega 3s include salmon, sardines, herring and mackerel are generally considered safer when they are wild caught.
