Truth be told, sometimes I do not know what to write about. I have been doing this for years and years and there are days when I just feel so flat.
On a personal level, it has been a very challenging time period. So many people today are suffering in one form or another. May are truly in pain and not just physical pain, but a heaviness of the heart and the spirit. I too have experienced it and though I take action, there are times it does get the better of me. Often, more than I care to admit.
Like this morning.
Then I remember. This newsletter is not about me and my wants. It is about you, longer time and new customers and readers. I venture a guess that someone out there reading this feels worst that I. Someone out there is in a worst situation. Much worse. And probably a lot more than one.
So I write and do so from the heart, to the best of my abilities. And lo and behold, the most amazing thing happens. I start to perk up, albeit it a little at first. Then the more I write and the more I find ways to do for others, the better I feel.
When we feel low, sad, depression or the like, many often look for food, herbs, nutrition or some other type(s) of treatment to help us feel better. Yes, they work and work incredibly well most of the time.
There is one treatment that will always work. When I say always, I mean 100% of the time, no questions asked. It is not an herb or acupuncture or aromatherapy. It is much simpler.
It is this: Today, now. . . . Do something for someone else.
At this point, people typically have one of 2 reasons. They either scoff, blow it off and continue down the road of depression and self-pity.
Or they take a risk. They take action. They do something for someone else. It may be something totally unexpected like a phone call out of the blue or it may be purchasing a coffee and having a conversation with a stranger. It need not be expensive or time consuming.
These types of acts open the heart channel and allow for energy which has been temporarily cut off, to begin to flow again. It is in the flowing of the energy (called Chi) that the healing begins.
So Dear Reader, I would like to thank everyone one of you today. You have helped open my heart and elevated my Spirits. For this and so much more, I am most grateful to each of you.
