I was walking along a nature trail and noticed a discarded brick. It looked like it had been there for weeks, perhaps months.
Funny things about a brick. It,like everything else, wants to be something. It wants to be part of a wall to protect individuals from the onslaught of water. It wants to be part of a loving home. It wants to be more than just something that is tossed aside and ignored.
Everything is like the metaphorical brick story above. We want a purpose. We want our lives to matter. We desire more than just going to work, putting in our time and hoping that we can make it to retirement with enough health and money to maybe, finally, kind of being to enjoy life. But how?
Most people start with the brain; that is, if we can only figure out the right sequence, the “secret” formula for success, then life can take on a new meaning.
We look at the issue much differently. We start with the heart as this is the organ that sets the tone for the rest of the system. When the Shen (think of it as the Spirit) is strong, Creativity is found. We reclaim our zest for life. Everything has color and energy, including us. (I go more into detail about how to use specific methods in Dr. Orman’s Wellness School. Click HERE for more details.)
One of the substances that help bring back the Shen or the Spirit “back to life” so to speak is Reishi Mushrooms. For over three thousand years it has been the most sought-after product of nature by mountain sages and by the emperors and empresses of all Eastern nations.
Reishi dramatically improves the immune system, strengthens the spleen, rebuilds energy and according to the ancient masters, “It is believed by the Chinese to protect the Spirit and to nurture the growth of intelligence, wisdom and spiritual insight.”
The old adage is true: Life is short, so make the most of it. Reishi along with other substances and methods can go a long way to assist you.
