You can teach the reward centers in the brain to crave healthy, low calorie, wellness enhancing foods versus junk. Researchers at Tufts University in Boston found that this not only can be done, but it is easier than imagined!
For 6 months, obese adults followed this pattern: When you feel hunger, grab for something health first. Eat an apple, a piece of organic chicken or something of this nature. If you are still hungry afterwards, eat what you wish.
A “novel” idea. . . Eat something healthy when you are hungry.
It sounds simple and it is, but think about what people teach themselves to eat when they are hungry — pizza, chips, candy bars. Or even “health bars or shakes.” The latter 2 are better for sure, but still fall way short compared to real food.
Do this for 66 days. . . the time it takes to create a new habit for 90% of people. . . and you create a fat burning, healthy body.
Do this, and give yourself the greatest gift for 2015 and beyond — ideal health!
